    The Special Collections Research Center recently uncovered a unique Frederic Goudy typeface that became the inspiration for the new Syracuse University brand identity. Through a selection of rare books, original printed works, and other archival materials, this exhibition explores the impact and importance of the famed type designer and the University’s new typeface, as well as celebrates the strong historical ties and future legacy between Goudy and Syracuse University.

    Philanthropist Arthur Ross (1910–2007) avidly collected works of art by printmakers of the last several centuries. The Arthur Ross Collection came to comprise more than 1,200 prints of exceptional quality. Highlights include works by Francisco Goya, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, and Édouard Manet.

    Light Work is pleased to present an exhibition by L.A.-based artist Sune Woods in the Ellis Gallery. Also on view is The Light Work Grants 2017 in Photography program, supporting and highlighting artists working in Central New York.
